From the moment we arrived at Farmhotel Efstidalur, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcome drink that set the tone for a cozy stay. The wood-paneled walls and heated floors in our room added to the country charm, making us feel right at home. The view of the countryside from our window was simply mesmerizing, a true Icelandic gem.Although we arrived late, the staff kindly accommodated us and made sure we found our way to the lovely room with a private entrance. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a day of exploring the Golden Circle Region, and the traditional cooking at the restaurant was a delightful feast for the taste buds. I couldn't resist indulging in the homemade ice cream, a true highlight of our stay. While horse riding during the summer season is a must-try activity here, we also enjoyed relaxing in the seating area of our room, savoring the views and sipping on tea. The proximity to Gulfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot water springs made it a convenient base for our adventures.our experience at Efstidalur Farmhotel was nothing short of magical. The blend of cozy accommodation, friendly staff, and delicious dining options made it a perfect retreat in the heart of Iceland's stunning landscapes.
